Subject: Poor Road Conditions and Dangerous Driving

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my concern about the deteriorating state of the roads in our locality. The stretch of road between Rajiv Chowk and Central Market is in deplorable condition, with potholes and broken stones causing damage to vehicles and posing a severe threat to pedestrians.

The reckless driving of commercial vehicles, such as buses, trucks, and taxis, adds to the danger. It’s alarming to witness the increasing number of accidents that occur daily. The situation is becoming more and more alarming, with a rising number of fatalities resulting from bad road conditions and reckless driving.

Therefore, I request the concerned authorities to take immediate action to repair the road and enforce strict traffic regulations to prevent reckless driving. I also appeal to your esteemed newspaper to raise awareness among the public by highlighting this issue in your editorial column.

Thank you for your attention to this pressing matter.

Sincerely,

Amit Singh

Q. Write a letter to the Editor of a Newspaper complaining about the problem caused by the hawkers on the pavement.

To the Editor,
The Daily Post,
Mumbai 400001.

Subject: Problem of Pavement Hawkers

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my concern about the issue of pavement hawkers in our city, through the esteemed columns of your newspaper.

The encroachment of the pavements by hawkers has become a severe problem for the public. Hawkers occupy the pavements with their stalls without paying any rent or taxes, which creates obstructions for pedestrians. Due to the narrow space on the pavements, people are forced to walk on the road, which causes congestion and accidents, disrupting the flow of traffic. This has become a nuisance for the general public, and immediate action is required to address this problem.

I urge the authorities to consider setting up a designated Hawkers’ Corner to provide employment opportunities for the hawkers without causing any inconvenience to the public.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Alok Singh

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my concerns about the increasing problem of traffic congestion in our city. Despite several proposed solutions, there has been little improvement so far.

Immediate action is required from the authorities to complete the construction of the circular rail and extend the metro railway system up to the southern suburbs of the city. Additionally, it is crucial to restrict the movement of slow-moving vehicles in the busiest areas of the city. However, improving traffic conditions alone will not solve this issue. Processions during office hours must be regulated, and strict enforcement of traffic regulations with severe penalties for violators is necessary.

I am unsure if the authorities are genuinely committed to improving the traffic situation in our city.

Sincerely,
John Smith

Q. Write a letter to the Editor of a Newspaper complaining about the Scarcity of milk supply in your area.

To the Editor,
The Daily Times,
Kolkata 7000001

Subject: Shortage of Milk Supply in Our Neighborhood

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to draw your attention to the scarcity of milk supply in our neighborhood and share my thoughts on the matter.

The government’s milk distribution scheme has only one milk supply center in our locality, Nebutola. Despite the increasing population in recent years, there has been no issuance of fresh milk cards to ensure an adequate milk supply. Even the existing cardholders do not receive their allotted milk regularly.

Therefore, it is necessary for the authorities to take appropriate action by issuing fresh cards and ensuring a consistent milk supply from the milk depot.

Sincerely,
Rahul Singh

Q. Write a letter to the Editor of a Newspaper complaining of the ever-increasing price of essential commodities.

To the Editor,
The Daily Chronicle,
Kolkata 7000001

Subject: Concerns about the Rising Prices of Essential Items

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my concerns about the ever-increasing prices of essential commodities, which have left me with no choice but to voice my opinion through the pages of your esteemed newspaper.

The recent surge in prices has become a significant problem for most people, making it increasingly challenging to make ends meet. The hike in prices has had a severe impact on day laborers, lower and middle-class individuals, and those on fixed salaries. The prices of vegetables, including onions, are skyrocketing daily, and even meat or fish has become unaffordable for many. The prices of rice, milk, clothes, mustard oil, medicines, and other essential commodities are also increasing, making life difficult for the common people. In many cases, hoarding and black marketing are responsible for this situation.

It is high time for the government to take effective measures to control the rising prices of essential commodities.

Sincerely,
Rajesh Kumar
