Essay on Democracy Vs Dictatorship

Abraham Lincoln said, “Democracy is the government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” The legislature is an elected body in a democracy. These are the people who choose their leaders. These leaders are chosen by voters to serve terms of five years or less, and if they do not perform well to the complete satisfaction of the people, the people can reject them in the next election.

Democracy has a party system and only that party can stay in power which provides goods as per the demand of the people. But a dictator has often seized power and imposed himself on the people, even though the people may welcome him tired of some previous misrule.

However, a dictator is most often or becomes cruel, and it is difficult to remove him. However, if a dictator has a noble heart and truly wants to work for the sake of the people, he can propel the country forward quickly. This is exactly what we see in China. But that is exceptional. In general, democracy is preferable to dictatorship.
